  • In partnership with other offices, explore new, flexible parking policies that will assist and enhance the movement of faculty and students between remote facilities and the main campus. An example of this is the development of a multi-use parking permit or parking policies that will utilize the parking garage, the paid parking lot and campus metered parking, in addition to other campus parking lots to ensure the efficient and easy movement of persons from facility to facility during normal business hours and in the evening.   • Eight students from the Watson School of Engineering have completed successful internships with Physical Facilities. Watson students will again be participating in Fall 2006.   • Complete studies and create projects to address critical campus infrastructure needs. By Fall 2006 for example, projects replace six roofs and the Library Plaza Deck will be substantially complete. (Phyical Facilities) (90% complete)
  • Complete several energy savings initiatives in the last year including increasing the number of monitoring points on our computerized Energy Management System by 12.5%. Continue implementation of energy savings projects including replacement of lighting in the Library and installation of occupancy sensors.
